Sonnet
What is the problem with that simple phrase
The one that is spoken around the days of falling snow
It is a shame, really, that it's wrong to say a good wish for the days
But in this age it is what all too many know
How dare they tell the world what to say
Just because people don't believe
There surely is another way
A better one then throwing our language through a sieve
Even if it is insensitive, just tell people to not make a fuss
Sure it may not be appreciated by some
To others though they just might thank us
Especially with these dark years to come
So don't be afraid to share that wish list
Because one person to another will still wish a merry Christmas
