Eulogy
These days are now dark and scary for lack of better words. It is horrible that the world must try to function without Voice in our lives, but all that can be done is to try. That which is being missed now are things that the rest of this generation will miss. Be strong, and have faith that the world will push forward and be the same, even as this generation’s is changed. It will be the hardest thing to be done, but now people need each other, much more than days gone by. Voice is gone, and nothing can change that. But another like Voice come again. Another will make things as they should be, and the pain will fade away like the darkness turning to light. It is the world’s guarantee. But do not be saddened by these words. Rather, realize the importance of the need to support each other. Realize the importance to help each other with these difficult days, like the people of yesterday faced before. The only difference between now and then is that there a collective admission that Voice really is gone. We are the last of the world that knows what it looked like, and what it felt like. It is essential to remember not the pain of today but the joy and freedom of yesterday, and what it meant to voice our opinions. For the right to do so is what is to be buried today, though it died a year ago, and something like it will likely take years to come back. |
